Is anyone else noticing some crazy differences between the Nissan app’s range estimates and what the Ariya actually says? The app will show plenty of range for a trip, but then the car says otherwise. I’m talking like a 20-25% difference sometimes! Anyone know what’s up with that or how to fix it?

The app probably gives a more optimistic estimate based on perfect conditions, while the car takes things like weather, hills, and how you’re driving into account, which is why they don’t match up.

I've seen some discrepancies too although maybe not quite as drastic as 20-25%.I knew it wasn't just me experiencing this. My theory is that the app probably uses some generic algorithm based on ideal conditions, while the car's estimate is more dynamic, factoring in your actual driving style, terrain, and even climate control usage. I think of it like the difference between a theoretical "brochure" MPG and what you get in real life. I wouldn't rely solely on the app for trip planning. Always double-check with the car's own range estimate, and even then, be conservative, especially if you're pushing it. As for a fix, I'm not sure there is one, unfortunately. It's probably down to Nissan improving their algorithms and data syncing between the app and the car.

That’s a pretty big difference! The app and the car sometimes use different data, like past driving habits or weather, to calculate range, which can cause those discrepancies. Make sure both have the latest updates, sometimes software fixes help

If it keeps happening, a quick chat with Nissan might be worth it. Hopefully they can clear things up

Yeah, I figured the car would be more accurate since it's working with real-time data, but a 20-25% difference is wild. I don’t even drive that aggressively!

I’ll check for software updates, but I feel like Nissan should be making the app and the car sync better. It’s annoying thinking I have enough charge for a trip, then getting in the car and realizing I have to change plans.

It's crucial for them to resolve the issue, and it would be much better if both figures, even if not perfectly in sync, are at least close to each other.
