Hello everyone! I have approximately one year of owning my Nissan Ariya FWD engaged. I like the car, but the software-related issues I had with it were and are overwhelming.
  • Phantom emergency braking: Sudden braking without reason, both at high (130 km/h) and low (<30 km/h) speeds.
  • Air conditioning: Sometimes too weak and sometimes too loud. Also, sometimes it switches off out of nowhere.
  • Lane departure warning: Too sensitive.
  • Steering wheel sensor: Requires an unnecessarily firm grip, causing frequent alarms.
  • Display glitches: Frequent errors, like missing indoor temperature, unsaved locations, default display resets, and poor connected services reception.
  • Navigation issues: Missing destination time display.
  • Adaptive cruise control: Distance settings feel poorly calibrated compared to my previous Leaf.
  • Cruise control: Causes jerky behavior when reducing speed to the set limit.
  • High power consumption: Around 28kWh in winter (at 130 km/h), compared to 22kWh with the Leaf.
I contacted Nissan and they said to go to my dealer. I went to them, but they lacked the updated software. Has anyone experienced a similar situation with his Ariya and could help me with some insights?

First, check your battery. Then, try resetting the whole screen thing by holding down the power button on the knob.

My AC was acting weird last month. It kept changing the temperature on its own. I think I might be accidentally turning on Auto mode, but I'm not sure.

Sometimes turning the AC completely off and back on again fixes it.

Wow, that's a laundry list! It sounds like you've been dealing with a frustrating Ariya experience. Phantom braking at 130 km/h is top of the list, and the other issues are still unacceptable for a modern car even if less dangerous. It's definitely not just you though, I've seen similar complaints about software glitches, especially with the early Ariyas. The dealer's excuse about lacking updated software is weak. I'd suggest escalating this directly to Nissan corporate and documenting every single incident. Maybe even try contacting a different dealer. As for insights, other owners might have found workarounds, but ultimately, Nissan needs to fix these bugs. Good luck, and definitely keep pushing Nissan!
