With Kia and Hyundai getting cozy with superchargers and NACS this year, I thought I’d give the Simcoe (ON) Supercharger a whirl. Well, that didn’t go as planned. The cable’s too short to reach the port, and you’ve got to park half on the curb to make it work. Ford and Rivian owners aren’t faring any better at some stations either. If Tesla ever opens up to Nissan and the gang, they really need to upgrade those cables. They teased an extension cable, but with the price and the hassle of storing it, I’m not sold. And here’s the kicker, Tesla suggests Ford and Rivian owners double-park just to get a charge. Genius, right?
