Can interior lighting be added to non-ProPilot 2.0 Ariyas?

I’ve noticed that ProPilot 2.0-equipped Ariyas come with a blue or green light strip across the front of the interior, while other trims just have a translucent plastic strip.

I’m wondering is the lighting feature disabled in software, or is it missing completely? If it’s there but turned off, could we enable it somehow? Or would it require extra wiring and hardware?

This seems like a small but awesome upgrade that could really add to the Ariya’s modern, high-end feel. Has anyone looked into this or tried retrofitting it?

Unfortunately, those light strips aren’t glowing unless the ProPilot system is on board. A buddy of mine checked with Nissan and confirmed it's a no-go without it.
