Yes, it’s a dealer installed accessory. Once the accessory is installed and configured with “Virtual Key” app. No, need to carry around the fob. Since having it installed I never carry the fob. I have the virtual key app on the Apple Watch as well. Highly recommend. I suggest getting it if own or plan to own the car after your lease.it not cheap $400 plus labor and tax.
