It drives me nuts how easily the steering wheel alerts go off, I’m holding the wheel, but apparently, that’s not enough. It seems to demand a strict 10-and-2 grip, which hardly anyone actually uses. I even tried one of those Tesla-style counterweights, hoping to ease the alerts, but it made no difference, just $21 wasted. The constant reminders feel more intrusive than helpful, turning what should be a seamless drive into an annoying struggle. Has anyone discovered a reliable trick to keep the system happy? Or are we all stuck dealing with this relentless micromanaging?

I usually drive with one hand, either at the center, top, or bottom of the wheel, and only go for the 10 and 2 position if I need to stretch my arms a bit. I’m not sure I get the same alerts you mentioned

Lucky you! My system seems overly sensitive, I get alerts even with both hands on the wheel. Maybe it varies by car model or software version. What are you driving?

I get the looked forward alert alot. I have to figure out how to turn that off.
Same here, it’s super frustrating. I wish there was a way to dial down the sensitivity without disabling useful features. Let me know if you find a setting that helps.
