I’m noticing something odd, just set up my new EVIQO charger for my 2023 Ariya. it’s only pulling 31.5 amps. The app shows the max is set to 40 amps. I have it plugged into a NEMA 14-50 outlet on a 50-amp breaker, so everything should be set up to handle the full 40 amps.

I’m planning to have an electrician take a look soon, but if anyone has suggestions, I’d really appreciate it! Anyone else run into a similar issue?

My understanding is the car itself is limited to a 32-amp draw, like what @NissanDriver2024 said. That makes sense but here's what I'm wondering, if I hook it up to a 150kW DC fast charger, does that bypass the onboard converter entirely? In theory, shouldn't it charge much faster than it would on a higher-amp AC charger, even with the car's 32-amp limit?

When the problem is about battery and charging issues, I normally do not mess with it out of fear. So I suggest you go and make that appointment with an electrician. Alrhough I wonder if you ever fixed it yourself?

Hey! Sounds like your charger is on a low-carb diet! Might just be trying to save you some energy… but seriously, yeah, an electrician is probably your best bet. Could be a setting, a wire, or just a case of the charger being a little shy
