Ariya Oil Leak Recall

Anyone here part of the lucky 84? If your Ariya was built between May 30, 2022 and February 27, 2023, you should check to see if it's part of the recall.

I grabbed mine around then as well, and luckily, I was in the clear. Just so you know, some EV motors use oil in a closed-loop cooling setup. Unlike ICE engines that burn oil, these motors hardly ever need a top-up.

Just want to make sure I'm seeing this right. Did they really only make 84 of those cars back then?

I'm not sure if that's how many cars they made in total during that time, or if only some of them have the problem.

Hopefully, it's a minor issue and not something that could cause serious problems down the road. If your Ariya falls within that build date range (May 30, 2022, and February 27, 2023), it's absolutely crucial to check if your VIN is included in the recall. Don't delay on this and contact your Nissan dealer ASAP or check the NHTSA website for recall information. Better safe than sorry when it comes to potential oil leaks! Hopefully, it's just a quick fix.

This is really important information. I've been concerned about the potential for long term problems from seemingly minor issues. Thank you and the OP for taking the time to share it.
