Last Saturday, I charged my Ariya to 80% and was cruising along the French autoroute when suddenly, "Nissan Ariya Warning: EV System Malfunction" flashes on the screen. The e-Pedal started acting wonky, and then BAM! The car just shuts down completely. 0% battery, I'm stranded, and the French autoroute is not the place you want to be broken down. Turns out, towing is mandatory there. I called Nissan and my insurance, and the earliest appointment I could get was four days later! The tow truck driver tried to jump-start it with a portable battery, and magically, the car shows 94% charge. WTF?!

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Never happened to me. You could try to disconnect the 12v battery, wait for a few minutes, and then reconnect the battery. Did it happen again after that day?

That's scary! Sounds like your Ariya threw a fit.Four days for an appointment is unacceptable. Definitely keep pushing them and document everything. I'd also be curious to know if any error codes were stored and what they say. This sounds like a potentially serious problem.

That's a nightmare scenario! I can't imagine being stranded on the autoroute. It definitely sounds like a major electrical or software issue. Make sure you document everythng photos, videos, the tow truck driver's statement, everything. You'll need it if you have to escalate this with Nissan. Hopefully, they get to the bottom of it quickly!
