Can you leave the A/C running in the Ariya while parked?

I’ve been trying to leave the air conditioning on in my Nissan Ariya while parked but it keeps turning off after a while.

- My old Nissan Leaf would keep the A/C running for as long as needed without using much energy.
- In the Ariya it shuts off even though I want to keep the cabin cool.
- I’m especially concerned about this for situations where I need to leave my dog in the car for short periods.

Has anyone figured out why the Ariya does this? Is there a setting to keep climate control running while parked?

In accessory mode, the AC stays on for a cool 30 minutes to keep things comfortable. When you switch to "Ready" mode, the AC runs just like when you're parked and waiting for someone, no need to worry about it shutting off. I haven’t tried going beyond 15 minutes, but I’d be surprised if it turns off after 30. So, you should be good to relax without any interruptions

You can try by turning the car on in ready mod. The turn on the AC, leave the car having the fob in hand, lock the doors and they walk away.

Basically, phone timer, then app to restart. That's how I do it.
