As per the title... I wonder... is there a drive mode in a 100% electric that can mimic what in a conventional gasoline SUV would be the low range gears?
While I'm no expert, based on my experience with my Ariya, the B mode significantly improves regenerative braking. It feels similar to using engine braking in an ICE car, giving you more control when slowing down on hills and less reliance on the brake pedal.

You can use e-Pedal mode, which makes the car slow down more when you lift off the gas. It kinda feels like you're in a lower gear when you're going downhill or driving in slippery stuff.
