Ok, my patience with and trust in Nissan Nordic and Europe is fading slowly.
This is the story of bad management.

I picked up my new Ariya 87 kW eforce advance in Akalla outside Stockholm, in May 2024, and enjoyed it immensely during the summer holiday.
Then on the 30th of July it happened....another car hit us on the right side, which caused some heavy workshop labour.
Both doors, the threshold and the airbag curtain needed replacement. All of that were accomplished within reasonable time.
But.....since the airbags in both front seats had been activated, a complete set of new upholstery was needed.
From japan....
on a boat....
perhaps not even produced....
wait wait wait....

We now have the 3rd of january 2025 and the Ariya is still in the workshop awaiting these mysterious seat upholstery.
Luckily I got a rental Hertz replacement vehicle, a Polestar 2 which is a fabulous EV, so I have managed to endure these five months, but I honestly have to say that I am extremely disappointed with how Nissan has dealt with this. The workshop can't even get any information if the items are on a boat, or still in Japan.
The rental cost will soon be as much as the repair cost. This will probably increase the brand and models insurance costs and will rise the premium (right word?).

This is so ridiculous. Five months for some front seat upholstery?

Do one dare to buy new japanese or south korean cars if they don't prepare in Europe with spare parts that are presumed to be highly requested?

Thanks for listening.
