Anyone else dealing with the ’’Parking Sensor System Fault’’ warning popping up, especially when the bike rack is on? It’s been happening to me a lot lately. Is there a way to temporarily turn off the sensors or maybe calibrate them so they don’t freak out over the bike rack?

If you’ve got a bike rack on, do yourself a favor and take it off when you’re not using it to avoid those annoying parking sensor alerts. Better yet, just flip that sensor off until you actually need it.

That’s a good point! Sometimes I totally forget to take it off for a quick errand. It’d be awesome if there was a way to turn off the sensors without having to deal with removing the bike rack every single time. Is there actually a way to do it?

It's important to choose a rack that doesn't interfere with your car's sensors, especially if you rely on parking sensors or a rear camera.

The bike rack might be blocking the sensors. I’d recommend checking each sensor to see which one is obstructed. You might also want to adjust the bike rack’s mounting to see if that helps resolve the issue.

The issue isn’t sensor calibration, it’s likely sensor obstruction. Try removing the bike rack for a bit and see if the problem clears up. Sometimes, those extra bits can mess with the sensors’ view!
