Hello,
We just bought a brand new 2024 Nissan Ariya.
When we were at the dealer to pick it up they set up the app for us on the iPhone. The app says 100% charged but only 138 miles available.
No one at the dealership knew how this could be happening. Later in the day we were told that their electric car specialist said that this is only because the battery is brand new and has possibly only been fully charged 1 time.
According to him, and a bullet point in the manual, the estimated driving range will not be accurate until it is charged to 100% a few times.
In the manual under "ESTIMATED DRIVING RANGE" a bullet point says "It may take 2 or 3 battery cycles to show accurate mileage."
Can anyone confirm this? We are supposed to pick it up this afternoon and my wife is very concerned that there is something wrong with the car.
Thanks,
Jerry
