I figured out how to turn the taillights and eyelash lights off while keeping the car on! With the vehicle turned on switch the lights to the off position on the stalk, engage the parking break then turn the car off then back on, when you turn it back on the lights will be off. The Nissan emblem still lights up but it’s much more discrete than the taillights and front lights. Can’t wait to car camp and ski this winter!

Great workaround! this is a huge help for those of us who like to camp or spend time in the car without unnecessary lighting. It’s interesting that the Nissan emblem remains lit; I wonder if there’s a way to disable that as well for complete darkness. Have you tried running this mode for extended periods? It’d be good to know if it significantly impacts the 12V battery or main battery charge over a long night. Thanks for sharing this tip! Will probably plan like this as well.
