LEAF owner considering Ariya

We have a 2015 SL and love it despite 'city' range and Chademo limitations on the odd highway trip.

Glad these are both better with new LEAfs and Ariya.
One thing common to most new vehicles noe is the SAD LACK of tie down loops underneath to strap down a canoe etc. on foam blocks.

I won't buy a car that I can't rig a canoe onto. Shouldn't force the higher roof rack trims. All there is is a single eye hook bolt to thread into the bumper on ONE side.

Plastic bumpers are not structural to tie down around, even with a cloth protector. The frame is covered by plastic underneath, making DIY strapping really hard.

We are a dual Leaf Plus family, and looking at the Ariya now that it is on big discounts. Is the real range on the Ariya Plus that much more than a Leaf +? I can still squeeze 220 summer Freeway miles out of Leaf with low weight rims and eRange tires.
