Today I charged my ariya at a station on the french autoroute. Charged to 96%. We left the charging station and drove 2 or 3 km and we got the error "nissan ariya warning ev system" and something about e-pedal malfunction. And the battery stood suddenly at 0%. Because we're were on the autoroute we were legally obliged to call an authorized tow truck who brought us to the garage. It was Saturday and the Nissan garage could not help us until Monday. We would have to get a hotel for two days, or get a rental car.

At the garage the battery would not respond even enough to open the door.

He connected something under the hood to a small charger just to get in the car and décharge it from the tow truck. Suddenly the ariya showed a charge of 96%.

Everything worked fine.

What am I supposed to do in such a situation?

I've had this "EV system off" before and my dealer told me that it was due to a sensor in the battery pack reporting high pressure/temprature. They just ran a software update and it was fine right after.

Maybe this could help.
