I’m curious if anyone’s successfully charged their Ariya at a Tesla station equipped with a Magic Dock. From what I understand, Magic Docks are supposed to add compatibility for non-Tesla EVs, but I’m not sure if that’s extended to the Ariya just yet or if we still need to wait for Nissan to officially join Tesla’s charging network. Has anyone tried it out, or heard any updates? It’d be awesome to have that extra charging option! Or Nissan is keeping it secret from us?

I've been keeping an eye on this too. Nissan announced that starting in 2025, they'll offer EVs with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) ports, which will make charging at Tesla Superchargers more seamless. For now, using Magic Dock-equipped Superchargers is a great alternative. Just remember to check the Tesla app for compatible locations, as not all Superchargers have been upgraded yet. So you gotta be diligent.

Maybe Nissan’s keeping it secret, like a hidden feature. "Surprise! Your Ariya’s now charging at Tesla stations... eventually."

The magicdock at Tesla charges is a CSS adapter that will pop out automatically when you register as a non-Tesla. You can register as a non-Tesla on their app & it will show charging locations equipped with magicdock capabilities. This has nothing to do with the Nissan to Tesla adapter that will let Ariya's charge at ALL superchargers at some point in the future. Here's a youtube link -

Nissan has now released their own adapter. It comes with a small piece to modify the Ariya's chargeport. From what I am reading, you can start charging your Nissan's on the Tesla network w/ NACS starting December 10, 2024.

We have now charged twice at Tesla stations using Nissan's adapter. It works great and is easy to use. We used the Tesla app to set up the vehicle and payment method. We also used the Tesla app to start / stop the charger. We tried the Nissan app, but it didn't work (no surprise, the Nissan app frequently doesn't work for us).
